Well, I just could not help myself, so I went ahead and made a Bitcoin Comic. As long as I have the time, feel the need, and have ideas etc... I'll try and make one each week Todays episode Archived comics can be found here http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bitcoin-Comic/543277182368603 and here http://z1x.dk/bitcoin-comic/2013/2013-003.html Please feel free to give me feedback, ideas and perhap

Archivist’s note. The thread opens. Z1Xwitch posts the first strip and promises one a week. This opening post was edited years later: its image was swapped for a 2013 strip and its links updated, which is why it now shows no original timestamp.

Todays Episode "Solo Mining" If you like the idea of me doing a BitCoin Comic, please consider donating, or perhaps just drop a comment, with ideas to a new episode. Donations: 1E7kGcfvmUpQyEtfGfk3vpn68A2V6QWvCx

Archivist’s note. Episode 003, titled “Solo Mining” in the thread. The same post includes the donation address that appears on his site, an early example of an artist asking for support in bitcoin.

Could you post your comics here too so i'll get an email notification when new ones come up please?

Oh sure... forgot about that again, someone already asked me once. I'll pop today's comic's in right away and keep doing so! but else (thanks for reminding me kseistrup) .. If I forget to post here (and I no doubt will at some time) ... there

Archivist’s note. A reader asks for strips to be posted in the thread so forum notifications would announce new episodes. From here on the thread works as the comic’s feed.

One of the strips just got used in a New York Observer article about BitCoin:  http://www.observer.com/2011/06/bit-omoney-whos-behind-the-bitcoin-bubble/ How awesome

Archivist’s note. The artist reports that one of his strips illustrated a New York Observer article about Bitcoin in June 2011.

You, Sir, are brilliant!  I laughed my ass off at the Alpaca one and the "Bitcon" site.  Hilarious!  I am very bitcoin poor but sent you a small donation to show that I appreciate and support your work!

You should make one about bitcoins and carrots!  Thank you my good sir And I can tell you, that Carrots are already on the to-do list ... l

Archivist’s note. Reader “The Script” singles out the alpaca and “Bitcon” strips and mentions sending a small donation.

New one up... this might require you have seen the interview in mention and that you understand how magnets work! If no one gets this one...  I'll know I went to far.. so please tell if you do or do not get it! (wont troll you for being stupid ...  for long)

Archivist’s note. He worries that an episode is too niche, an early sign of the in-joke culture Bitcoin humor relied on.

Thanks for the feedback.. Yah, Im sure my cartoon ain't the best comic out there, or anything like it.. and I don't claim it to be... it's just an outlet for my silly ideas. If I need to tweak it around too much, to get people to like it - I would not be my ideas any more. So I figure, if I just do what I can, to make my jokes understandable, then that's fine with me.. yah I know this last one wasn't the best BitCoin Comic I have done, but I kinda ran out of time today! But: once again, thanks for the support guys!! I hope you bear with me, as I try to find the time to do this each day. I'm a struggling artist / graphic designer, and right now I have to do a lot of silly things to get some food on the table for me and my family. But I will try to continue doin

Archivist’s note. The most personal note in the thread: he describes himself as a struggling artist and graphic designer. This post also shows no visible timestamp.

    Great work! Awesome strips!

Would like to see one that is challenging buttcoin.org  come at me bro

Archivist’s note. The parody account “buttcoin” turns up to ask for a strip about buttcoin.org.

here we go! Due to recent postings in this thread, I recently became aware of the buttcoin/bitcoin-thing. I'm not one to cheer for ether side, since my own subjective point of view lack the ability to be dualistic enough to take any side. But that only makes it even more funny for me to go over the stuff posted. Keep the war going guys, opposed opinions is what keeps me and people like me on-toes

    Archivist’s note. He answers with episode 024, “Buttcoin.org”, on July 9, 2011.

Thanks I'm trying to get back into a routine with the comics again, so hopefully I'll keep up with a daily schedule again

Archivist’s note. He says he is trying to get back to a daily schedule. The 2011 run ends soon after with episode 032.

Ha ha nice   And I see you've improved!

heh.. thanks ... and yeah, I decided on a style-change, and plan on use more time on each drawing, than when I made the "old ones". (Usually I used to use about 15-30 minutes on a Bitcoin comic drawing .. this one was a little over an hour, including sketchwork.) Since the price on BTC went up, since

Archivist’s note. The April 2013 strips use a new drawing style; he explains that earlier strips took about 15–30 minutes each.

I had little time to do this one, but I just HAD to do it anyway.
